Target Bullseye Playground Bargains & Old Sign Stencils
September 25, 2022
I recently purchased the chip basket, DIY frame, and wood riser at Target's Bullseye Playground at the front store bins. Everything in the bins is $5 or less.

First I stained the chip basket with Varathane Weathered Wood Accelerator.
The weathered wood accelerator gave the basket a gray, weathered appearance.
I then painted the unpainted and unglazed DIY frame with Dixie Belle Mineral Paint in Salt Water.
I then pulled out this new pattern "Stitches" Stencil from Old Sign Stencils. I think this stencil works with farmhouse, French Country, or even Boho decor!
*Old Sign Stencils has provided me with complimentary samples. All opinions about these fabulous stencils are my own.
I centered and laid the stencil over the frame, and swirled on the pattern using Dixie Belle Paint in Drop Cloth,
My base coat, (Salt Water) is whiter and a little shinier than my stencil paint (Drop Cloth).
I waxed the monochromatic arched frame with Dixie Belle's Best Dang Wax, and added a fall photo of my grandson.
My last purchase was a white wood (cutting board shaped) riser from Target.
I brushed a coat of Salt Water Mineral Paint on the top of the riser, stenciled it with Drop Cloth, and waxed it with Best Dang Wax. The riser has Stitches mellow monochromatic stencil pattern as well.
Faux fall foliage was stuffed in the chip basket on the top of the wood riser!
An easy fall centerpiece!
This stencil would be perfect on a pillow cover or even drawer fronts! It has multiple uses.
Thanks for visiting!

Really nice, Carlene. I especially like the weathered look on the basket. And the subtleness of the two whites you used on the frame and riser. That boy in the picture is pretty darn cute, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Naomi! I have used the weathered wood accelerator quite a bit. I really like the results.
