Decorating and Refreshing A Small Bathroom
January 17, 2023
One of the rooms that recently received a refresh is my 3/4 bathroom.
The bathroom is really small, with barely enough space for a vanity, narrow toilet and a neo-angle shower. Luckily my youngest daughter painted the room for me in Dover White. She was able to paint above the shower, behind the toilet, and on the ceiling, all difficult places for me!
About 25 years ago we replaced the shower, toilet, floor, and drywall in an inexpensive gut makeover. The original tiled shower had started leaking through the floor.
At the time, we still had three kids at home, and not a lot of extra money.
The little bathroom has a nice, clean and bright appearance but not much style. I added a little personality with vintage clothes hangers found at garage sales, thrift shops, and antique stores.
The old washboard was one of my old blog projects HERE.
I also like old license plates in years that were memorable to me.
Over in the toilet area, I have more hangers, a vintage printer's tray, and an old mirror.
My extra toilet paper rolls sit atop a chippy little stool.
It's fun to display old advertising hangers too. I have several from old dry cleaners or hotels.
Plain wire and wood hangers can be stenciled! I added handle with care to the hanger above in a blog post HERE.
Another old license plate and a vintage soap dish hang on a small silver of wall next to the shower stall.
How would you decorate a small bathroom?
Thanks for visiting.
