Dollar Tree Jack O' Lantern Box Makeover
October 15, 2023
I found these little wooden Jack O' Lantern unfinished boxes at Dollar Tree.
I gave them an easy upcycle!

I pulled out my Waverly Chalk Paint in Pumpkin from Walmart.
I brushed on two coats of the pumpkin paint on the front top, bottom, and sides.
I painted the back of the box, that slides in and out, and the inside of the box with black acrylic craft paint.
I gave the boxes a light sanding on the edges to distress them and glued birch branch pumpkin stems to the tops of the boxes with E6000 glue.
I waxed the chalk paint with Dixie Belle's Big Mama's Butta, but any wood wax would work.
It protects the paint and darkens it some.
I found two led tealight candles from KP Creek Gifts in my craft stash. I use these at Christmas time too.
I tied a couple pieces of raffia on the pumpkin stem.
The tealight "flame" lines up in the Jack O' Lantern's nose. Other led tealights would work, if they fit inside the boxes.
An easy and inexpensive Halloween decor idea with Dollar Tree and Walmart supplies.
Thanks for visiting!
